Gay Friendly Pride House Set for
Vancouver Whistler 2010 Olympic Games!
Alpenglow Productions presents the first official
Whistler 2010 Pride House for the Olympic Winter Games! According
to Metro Vancouver newspaper’s Kristen T., the location
is now secured and the dates are set by Alpenglow Productions
for the first ever gay friendly Olympic Pride House for the Vancouver
Whistler winter games in February 2010. The guests and visitors
are certainly now guaranteed a great show up in Whistler Resort
during the Olympic Games and now all that is required are sponsors
for the gay friendly Whistler 2010 Pride House.
According to the president of Alpenglow Productions, the Vancouver
Whistler 2010 Pride House will set the tone for debunking numerous
myths about homosexuality in the sports arena. Although homophobia
is still very prevalent in the sports world, and especially during
the international Olympic Winter Games, the Whistler 2010 Pride
House will be gay friendly and will welcome and educate people
from around the world. With sexuality being such a hot topic these
days, the Pride House in Whistler will allow gay and lesbian athletes
to feel more secure and have a place for them to hang out and
make new friends without the scariness of going abouts everything
themselves. For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games,
a host city now will have a Pride House. The definition of the
Whistler 2010 Pride House is simple: a explicitly gay friendly
place for athletes and visitors – whether hey are gay, lesbian,
straight or other – to hang out and feel safe about their
sexuality. According to the Alpenglow Productions president, The
gay friendly Whistler 2010 Pride House will be at the Whistler
Pan Pacific Hotel where athletes and visitors will be welcomed
at the hip lounge space within this five star accommodation. Dan,
president of Team Vancouver athletic society, a non-profit that
promotes gay sports and culture events, said that the Pride House
Whistler Pan Pacific Hotel is a ‘wonderful idea.’
Gay Friendly Vancouver 2010 Accommodations and
Rooms for Rent
There will be several gay friendly Vancouver 2010 hotels in the
downtown core come the Olympic Winter Games, but getting your
hands on booking a suite or room will prove to be quite difficult.
With VANOC reserving a significant number of downtown Vancouver
2010 hotel suites already, visitors will be left fighting for
less than 10% of the hotel rooms that are still left for bookings.
Gay friendly Vancouver hotels are dispersed everywhere in the
downtown area, but some of the hip and trendy gay friendly neighborhoods
include Davie Street, Denman Street, Yaletown, Robson Street,
Coal Harbour and the Gastown areas. Finding affordable gay friendly
Vancouver 2010 hotels in those areas will be hard to do, but keep
checking the following hotel accommodations to see if they are
posting any Olympic specials, packages or online reservations.
Travel Alternatives Group TAG Gay Friendly Vancouver
2010 Hotel Rooms and Suites
TAG is an initiative of Community Marketing based in San Francisco
and the group approves Vancouver 2010 gay friendly hotels based
on standards and criteria outlined by the Travel Alternatives

2010 hotels in downtown Vancouver that include: Blue Horizon Hotel,
Coast Plaza Hotel & Suites, Delta Vancouver Suites, Empire
Landmark Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Hotel Downtown -

TAG friendly criteria that include: Days Inn Vancouver Metro,
Happy Day Inn, Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre, Howard Johnson Hotel
and the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver.
Gay Friendly 2010 Rentals
Whether you are looking for private homes, condos or townhomes,
many of the rent 2010 accommodation throughout Vancouver will
be gay friendly. Vancouver is considered one of the most liberal
and accepting cities in the world, and many homeowners and property
managers will be more then happy to rent out their furnished 2010
rentals to gay and lesbian visitors and tourists. It is actually
illegal for landlords and property owners to discriminate against
gay and lesbian renters in Vancouver. In many ways, private home
rentals and rent 2010 condos that are gay friendly will provide
you with more bang for your money in terms of privacy, amenities,
services and sometimes even location. The most gay friendly 2010
rentals will be in the Vancouver West End, Yaletown, Coal Harbour,
Gastown and along Robson Street or you can try your luck in the
city in Kitsilano, Point Grey or South Granville.
