Vancouver 2010 Tickets Go On Sale June 6, 2009
According to 24 Hours Vancouver, over 200,000 tickets for the
Vancouver Whistler 2010 Winter Olympic Games will go on sale online
on Saturday, June 6, 2009. The inventory for Saturday’s
second online sales phase of the 2010 Vancouver tickets for the
Olympic Winter Games was just announced but it is unknown how
many will be sold through VANOC and Tickets.com on the day. In
addition to the 150,000 sold in May 2009, the Vancouver 2010 tickets
are a hot commodity and it is expected that the 200,000 Olympic
tickets available for the 2010 Winter Games will be across all
sporting events, including Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey. It
is expected that approximately 1,000 Gold Medal Ice Hockey 2010
tickets will become available on June 6, 2009, the first chance
that the public will be able to purchase these much anticipated
tickets. All Olympic 2010 tickets are on sale on a first come
and first serve basis beginning at 10am in the morning on Saturday
at www.vancouver2010.com. You will need to register for a free
Vancouver 2010 ticketing account online acceptable payments is
via Visa only. Money orders and cheques will also be accepted
but there is a four event limit per transaction and the limit
to the number of Vancouver 2010 tickets per purchase is four to
eight depending on the sporting event. The CEO said that the 150,000
tickets on sale will generate approximately $40 to $50M in revenue.
In addition, the Vancouver Olympic Committee announced the designs
for the 2010 tickets that were printed in Arkansas, US and they
include bar codes, holograms and other anti counterfeiting features.
The Vancouver 2010 Olympic tickets will be delivered to ticketing
purchasers in the Fall of 2009. According to Metro Vancouver newspaper,
they have also reviewed the latest release of Olympic 2010 tickets
for sale on June 6, 2009 and indeed there will be approximately
1,000 Men’s Ice Hockey Gold Medal tickets available this
time around. The unveiled samples of the Vancouver Olympic 2010
tickets were those for curling, ice hockey, opening ceremonies
and cross country skiing. They have the blue and green branding
in the background and are expected to be a collectors item.
