Birchwood Estates at the Foothills - HST Here to Stay? Wallmark Homes Explains
Last week the BC Government announced the updated BC HST transitional rules for the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) that will begin taking affect on July 1st 2010 for any new Vancouver home purchase in our real estate market place. To reduce the cost to new home buyers in BC, the Government has increased the threshold for new housing rebates from $400,000 to $525,000 to a maximum of $26,250 rebate which represents 71% of the provincial portion of the HST.
